Werfen is surrounded by skiing areas
Only 8 km away, there are the mountain railways Werfenweng, which you can reach by shuttle bus (free of charge). The free ski bus stops directly in front of our house. From Werfen, the numerous possibilities of Ski amadé are easily and quickly accessible by car - therefore the Werfenerhof is the ideal starting point for a Ski Safari.

Ski tours and more: in the Winter Wonderland Werfen peace and quiet are easy to find. Still, there is plenty of ski and sporting challenges. Curling, ice skating, sledding and skiing trips lighten up the heart of the winter tourist. Our tip: Directly from Werfen you can venture on the longest ski touring slopes in the eastern Alps, leading to the Hochkönig mountain range.
Winter Hiking: directly from the Werfenerhof you can start great walks. Try the popular hike to the Alpine Inn Dielalm or the Lodge Ostpreußenhütte.
